Al-Makassed University in Beirut, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, conducted evacuation and first aid training for its students and employees, according to the emergency plan implementation approved by it. Through it, they learned how to extinguish fires in closed spaces, and ways to maintain public safety standards in the event of any emergency. Everyone followed the evacuation plan approved by the university.
Awareness lecture for male and female students
The Student Committee of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Al-Makassed University in Beirut organized an awareness lecture for male and female students and the university’s working team, on 10/16/2023. It included several discussions and various activities to learn more about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

Public Health in the Arab world
Dr. Rana Al-Hajji, Regional Director of the World Health Organization in the Middle East, under the title: “Public Health in the Arab world.” The lecture focused on health aspects and diseases that have a sign in our Arab world, and the role of the World Health Organization in supporting the region to enhance health services there. The lecture was followed by a celebration in honor of International Nurses Day.

Upon the invitation of Al-Makassed University in Beirut, Professor Dr. Aziza Al-Hibri gave a lecture entitled: “Challenges of the Age and Conditions for Renaissance,” on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Within the framework of the activities carried out by Al-Makassed University, the Faculty of Teacher Education organized a scientific meeting entitled “The contributions of languages and their role in teaching subjects,” presented by Professor Dr. Laura Abu Haidar, Head of the Master’s in Language Education: Department of Language Sciences, LIDILEM Laboratory, from the University of Grenoble Alpes, on the day Friday, March 17, 2023. The University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Ghaziri, had met with Professor Abu Haidar on Thursday, March 16, 2023, with the aim of studying the possibility of cooperation with the University of Grenoble Alpes at various levels.

Al-Makassed University in Beirut participated in the tenth university exhibition organized by the UNRWA Career Guidance and Scholarships Units. Many secondary school students in UNRWA schools visited the university’s pavilion and obtained the necessary information to help them choose their professional and specialized path.
