AI Bootcamp Graduation Ceremony: Empowering a New Generation of Innovators In a vibrant celebration of learning and innovation, Makassed University of Beirut hosted the MUB AI Bootcamp Graduation Ceremony at its Beirut campus on November 1, 2025, marking the culmination of an intensive, hands-on program designed to equip participants with essential skills in artificial intelligence and its applications in education, business, and management. This Bootcamp stands as part of Makassed University’s broader initiative to promote AI readiness, digital transformation, and 21st-century competencies across Lebanon’s education sector. Through partnerships with schools, institutes, and professional organizations, the university continues to pave the way for a new generation of learners who are not only digitally fluent but also ethically and socially conscious innovators. The ceremony brought together university leadership, including the President of Makassed University, Pr. Hassan Ghaziri, the Director of Al Makassed Vocational and Technical Institute, Dr. Adel Damaj, and members of the Board of Trustees Mrs Diana Tabbara, along with the university deans, faculty, administrative staff, parents, and participants from various institutions. Their presence reflected a shared commitment to advancing technological literacy and fostering innovation across Lebanon’s academic landscape. Over the course of four days, participants—ranging from IT students of Al Makassed Vocational and Technical Institute to administrators from Makassed Association, Makassed University of Beirut, and partner institutions—engaged in an immersive experience that combined theory, practice, and creativity. Guided by the university’s AI and EdTech experts, the trainees explored prompt engineering, chatbot design, and the creation of AI-powered agents tailored for educational, business, and administrative use. During the ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to view a video montage capturing the Bootcamp’s most inspiring moments and listen to the voices of participants as they shared what they had learned and how the experience transformed their perspective on technology in education. The program’s supervising team then presented the participants’ final projects, showcasing practical AI solutions developed throughout the Bootcamp—from educational assistants capable of guiding students through lessons, to intelligent administrative tools that streamline workflows and enhance communication. In his address, the University President, Pr. Ghaziri, emphasized Makassed University’s mission to integrate artificial intelligence into education responsibly and effectively, underscoring that AI is not merely a technological trend, but a vital skill for the educators and leaders of tomorrow. He congratulated the participants for their creativity and collaborative spirit during the bootcamp. Echoing this sentiment, the Director of Al Makassed Vocational and Technical Institute praised the collaboration between the university and the institute, describing the Bootcamp as a model of experiential learning that bridges classroom theory with practical application. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the graduates, honoring their dedication and achievements.
